I get a little frustrated when I hear about the time and money being spent on tackling the steroids issue in baseball.  I am not advocating the use of steroids, but it is really what fans want, isn't it?  Fans want more home runs.  Fans want dominating pitchers.  Fans want lots of hits and high scoring games.
Being in personal training by trade, I understand the need for baseball to show a political interest in "stopping" steroids in baseball, but believe me - that is the last thing baseball wants!!!  This will drop revenues, while players continue to demand more money - that only spells one thing!  A strike in baseball again...and there is no doubt in my mind that this is the last thing baseball executives and owners want!
These professionals are big boys, and lets be honest here - can anyone honestly say that if millions of dollars were on the line...and the threat of your family's lifestyle (as extravagant as it may be) being compromised - would you turn down a pill or injection that would give you an edge, make you more money, and keep your family secure??
Be honest with yourself.  Don't judge what you don't know.
