Kirstie Alley is launching a meal planning program.  She is best known for her time on Cheers, but most recently scene as a spokesperson for meal planning business, Jenny Craig.  She is now looking to launch a meal planning program, most likely centered around pre-packaged foods.

Aside from what I believe about the pre-packaged food meal planning programs, it will be hard to "buy in" to a program centered around someone who has had "yo-yo" successes on the aforementioned pre-packaged meal planning program, don't you think?  Kirstie Alley seems like a genuine, believable actress, but this seems like another star's opportunity to make a few bucks off of the already vulnerable weight loss society.

Pre-packaged meal planning may have its place in certain instances as long as the dieter can be taught how to eat regular foods, and then be guided through a maintenance period for at least a year!  Be wary of programs like this...look for realistic meal planning and ask yourself the question "Is this something I can do for the rest of my life?"  If not, the plan may not be for you.
