Don't Fall For The "Hollywood" Diet!! |

I recently ran across a copy of US Magazine - January 14, 2008...the headline grabbed my attention "2008's Diets That Work! Stars reveal the best ways they get thin fast" Could be interesting? And certainly relevant to what I do everyday...let's take a look!
Debi Mazar (don't know her but apparently a big screen actress??) - lost 80 pounds! Congrats! Exercise plans included - trainer 3 times per week, Pilates; For optimum nutrition - used a 5-day per week meal delivery service at 1200-1400 calories per day
Niki Taylor (supermodel) - lost 11 lbs. Exercise plans included 30 minutes of cardio 3 times per week with various other fitness training components. For optimum nutrition, subscribed to a 6-meal-per-day delivery service.
Tori Spelling (actress) - Lost 46 pounds after her baby. For optimum nutrition she used Nutri-System...not sure how "optimum" that nutrition is, but hey - she lost her weight! For fitness training she sees a trainer 3 times per week.
Vanessa Williams - (actress) - Doesn't say how much she lost, but back to her weight she was in college! For optimum nutrition she chooses 5-Factor Diet and for her fitness training she has a personal trainer ON BOTH COASTS!
Do you get my point here? While I am sure all of these people work hard, and undoubtedly they do look good - what normal person has the resources to fork over hundreds and thousands of dollars for personal training and delivery services?!?! If we all had a job that "requires" us to have a certain body type, and affords us the opportunity to workout for hours a day, have people do our meal planning for us, and ONLY focus on what will make our bodies look better - WE WOULD ALL HAVE GREAT BODIES!
So what is the solution? Well if personal training and delivery services are out of your budget, start with a plan that will work in your lifestyle. Take an "inventory" of your week and see how much time you have to devote to fitness training, meal planning, and meal prep. Divide up the time and work with what you have. Remember, what you eat is about 80% of the equation, so don't let that portion slip!!
If you struggle with this, seek out a plan much like the one I offer on my website. It is affordable, it provides guidance, and most importantly support - If you follow it, YOU WILL NOT FAIL!
