I don't ever like to single someone out, but the other night one of my employees at our fitness center did something that I just have to share with you. The only reason I really want to share this with you is because I know you have experienced the same thing, and I know I can help you feel better.
Sometimes we make poor meal planning choices, and don't necessarily make optimum nutrition our first choice. Sometimes our exercise plans go awry on any given day. And sometimes we just have stressful days!!! This typically leads a feeling of tiredness. We have all experienced what I call "The Mid-day Lull", right? Sitting at your desk, an hour or two after lunch, and you feel like you could fall asleep!! Been there, right?
Ok, So back to the story of my employee - It was about 7pm and she said "I am going to go and get a Starbucks, I need it." I was personal training someone, having them do some abs. I said to her "You can go, but you have to do these crunches first". She got down on the floor with my client and started right into her Pre-Starbucks Exercise Plan! After a few sets, I told her she was done and free to go get her Starbucks...her reply was "Oh yea, I don't even need it now!"
She almost forgot about it! A 2-minute fitness training routine replaced Starbucks! Bottle that and you will make millions!!! Not only did 2 minutes of personal training relieve her need for a latte, but it also saved her a few bucks and saved her from making a poor nutrition choice!
So, the next time you have that "Mid-day Lull", get down and give me 10! Choose fitness training...do something rather than reach for a pot of coffee...crunches, lunges, squats...or just get out and walk for a minute or two - it only takes a couple of reps and you will be refreshed - GUARANTEED!
