So yesterday, I stepped on the scale and noticed I was 5lbs over my normal weight but about 10-15lbs from where I would like to be.  I’ll be honest, it’s not the first time I’ve noticed this weight loss opportunity, but it did happen to coincide with the launch of Perfect Body System's Power 1K Program.  I'm all for a REAL fitness program I can do at home so I decided I would start the program.

Oh my goodness, what a workout!  Did Satan develop Swing Lunges?  You’ve got to be kidding me.  Doesn’t Bob make it look so easy in the video…how many times did he fall over?  Of course, I fell over just about every “swing”.  I know I’m a beginner but 3 sets of 10?  I’m thinking 3 sets of 2 might be my max.  Not to mention that I didn’t know it was physically possible to do a push up by only lowering my body ¼ of an inch but apparently it is so I’m not sure if it counts but I checked it off my list anyway. I will admit that I had to break the Donkey Kong’s into 4 sets of 20 instead of two sets of 40 however; at least I know I did the Spirit Fingers correctly!  It wasn’t pretty but that’s the beauty of an “In Home Workout”…there was no one there to witness the madnessJ

Today I am sore in places I didn’t know you could get sore.  Yesterday I thought I was working out but I didn’t feel like I was over exerting myself.  Today, I feel like I ran a marathon or at least walked it spryly. My legs and rear end are killing me from Satan’s Spring Lunges and those lovely “Travoltas”.  I do like the fact that my abs hurt; maybe they’ll shrink inward from the strain.  All in all, I feel like I got a total body workout without in a short amount of time.

Day 1 down…we’ll see if I make it Day 2
