I was driving my son around the other day, running errands and I suddenly realized we hadn't eaten for at least 4 hours.  Now for some that may not be an issue, but if I don't eat every 3 hours I get very hungry!  Needless to say, he was hungry too, and before I can even make a suggestion as to where we should go - we drive by a McDonalds!!!  Have you ever been by a McDonalds with a hungry child? 

So we pull in...Happy Meal, chicken nuggets, apples, and some juice.  Now, I have to admit, I thought about a double cheeseburger, but I chose the chicken sandwich, no fries, and a bottle of water to drink.  Not perfect, but a better choice than many of the alternatives.  That is what it is all about - we all get "stuck" in situations just like this...what you do with the situation is the key to your dietary success.  Make better choices, more often...not perfect, just better.  If you can do this, in the end you will be successful.
