For most of the nation it is time to push back the clocks one hour this Sunday morning.  It is the end of Day Light Savings Time, and most Americans seem to be happy about that.  While there are still 24 hours in the day, it shifts the time you see that day light, based on your normal routine.

What is the point?

I know when it was first introduced, it was to aid the farmers in planting and harvest season with an "extra" hour of day light to get the work done.  But with the dawn of technology, lights on machinery...most of them work in the dark now anyway!

I see this as yet another excuse to be lazy.  I see this all of the time with exercisers - "it is too dark and cold in the morning to workout."   And that is in Arizona!!!  Imagine when it is dark for an extra hour in the morning, and 20 below zero!  Now here in Arizona we don't participate in this daylight savings time practice, but somehow we make it through the year.

Make it your practice to bust through the next 5 months of "Day Light Diminishing Time" and make it your personal goal to be more active.  Think how easy it will be next Spring with an "extra" hour.
